I'll cover my findings by analyzing the many different sites that have been affected since the update started. These sites cover many different sub-categories, including consumer products, healthcare, technology and software, professional services, education, finance, food and recipe sites, and more. Like I said before, part of the impact is like a base update with significant visibility changes since 8/4/21. Below, I'll present some key findings based on what I've seen on both negatively and positively impacted sites. I looked at what went down or up, SERPs before and after updates, compared the link profiles of competing sites in each space, and more. I obviously can't analyze every situation, every site, and every piece of content, but I've searched many sites in multiple categories.
It's also worth noting that you can definitely find examples of sites that grew but shouldn't, or examples of sites that shouldn't give up. Remember, this is an algorithm, so there will always be examples of collateral damage or improvements. In fact, I present some examples. Additionally, I'm actively helping several companies that provide reviews (in different categories) and was able to dig deeper into the Industry Email List changes these sites saw based on updates. Finally, some site owners contacted me after seeing the impact of the update. So there's a lot of data to mine since the update started.
